Okanogan means “rendezvous” to the Interior Salish and the area immediately south of the Canada/US border is perfect for getting together with family and friends and enjoying the many things to see and do. The area was a historic main trading route for fur traders and gold seekers, so stopovers at historic sites and ghost towns are popular but a visit to the many new wineries and emerging resort towns will show you just how great a modern rendezvous can be. |
